Why are we here?
The Vianney Prolife Club is committed to building a culture of life through prayer, education, and action.
All Vianney students are welcome and encouraged to participate at whatever level possible.
Meeting Times:
Various events throughout the school year. Usually we meet once per month, but we have additional planning meetings as we approach big events like 40 Days for Life or the March for Life. Our meetings are typically during afternoon Griffin Assist.
Highlights:
We attend the Archdiocese Respect Life Convention in October, and the Thrive fundraiser dinner each September. We march from Planned Parenthood to the Arch on the "March on the Arch" event in the spring. We put up 600 white wooden crosses during the month of November so that we can pray for the victims of abortion. Each semester, we stand united in prayer and peaceful protest in front of abortion centers. We attend Saturday morning mass at the New Cathedral, and process with hundreds of other pro-lifers to the abortion center, praying a rosary. We join half a million pilgrims to March for Life in Washington D.C. We learn crucial dialogue skills so that we can have respectful dialogue about difficult topics such as abortion.
Each year, we try new initiatives and seek new ways to educate people about the tragic realities of abortion, support to those in crisis pregnancies, offer healing to post abortion men and women, and pray for the souls of the millions of children killed by abortions. We seek to build a culture of life by fostering in ourselves an appreciation for the dignity of each son and daughter of God.
Come join us in this great effort!
